The Brady Campaign anti gun group is getting a ton of airtime in the national media these days. I heard that they have a scorecard that ranks each state Low number being the "worst" in their opinion.

Al I gotta say is heck ya Indiana! Maybe we should get some "4!" tshirts printed up with INGO on the back.

Thanks for posting this! Your link made my day! I did not expect Indiana to get one of the lowest scores in the nation. :rockwoot:

On a serious note, we Hoosiers have some work to do. Alaska rates a 0 out of 100! lol

    Kentucky is a 2. That's a goal we should work towards. :D

Seriously though, how terrifying must that map be to die-hard Brady Campaign fans? Nearly the entire freaking country is red. Ha!

Wish we could lose another 2 points on:

Colleges are not forced to allow firearms on campus

There are 2 demerits. So a possible score is -4 out of 100.

I checked and they don't have a positive value for not allowing legal guns in a movie theater.

Actually, there are a lot of states with 0 points....with a negative score possible....the true goal to aspire.

    Illinois has 35 points. :noway:

See, now this is why I love INGO. I was pretty happy with a 4 but you all have astutely shown me how I would be settling if I was happy with that. WE CAN GET WORSE ON THEIR RANKINGS. YES WE CAN. :yesway:

Maybe we can even figure out a way to get more demerits.

    Did I hear a call for ideas?:D

    1. Mandatory firearms education in public schools at grade 4, 6, 8 and high school.

    2. Mandatory qualification with M16 before graduation of high school is permitted.

    3. Tax on those not owning firearms.

    4. Waiver of sales tax for all those carrying a handgun(s).

    5. Construction of public ranges especially at schools.

    6. Making firearms education expenses and tuition and ammunition tax deductible above the line.

    There are many, many more.:D

We teach our children of responsible behaviors regarding such things as drugs, driving, and sex....so its entirely appropriate.

That will strengthen a heart right there. The college thing is kind a downer, but i am fully for the training in lower education levels!
