According to Beretta, their mags will last forever when loaded fully. It is the loading and unloading that works and weakens the spring.

thats what she asked??? :dunno: sorry couldn't help it. :D

but like others said it supposedly takes a heck of a lot longer for the mag to show any kind of functional wear when it is kept loaded.

Yup, I've heard the same before, the springs don't get worn out by storage but by use.

But doesn't keeping a loaded mag hurt the feed lips?

Isn't that one of the reasons for dust covers on PMags?

It CAN do that, yes. Depending on the magazine make/model/manufacturer.

I'd bet that a KCI/Kahn Glock mag loaded up to full capacity would show issues like this much much much more soon than would a Glock factory mag.

Fully charged and stored mags doesn't hurt the magazine spring, but other parts can show wear! :D
