    When I first saw him, he was riding down the street (awkwardly, with one hand) and I didn't know what it was. When he turned in front of me I finally saw it was the hammer taped to a handle. When I parked to go in Kroger, that's when the other guy on a bike caught up with him and I heard the yelling. I really didn't want to confront him in case he was some nut job. Didn't want to come out of the store to a smashed in windshield or something! :): They were both gone when I came out.

    I saw this as a tactic on a self defense training video where someone was fast approaching and the defensive person put up a strong arm with hand up and loudly said
    “STOP, I JUST GOT RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL AND I’M STILL CONTAGIOUS!”
    I think that tactic could also be utilized in a panhandle situation such as this.
