World traveler as you are, you most certainly must have some knowledge of “World History” There have been and will most certainly be again local and regional catastrophic occasions, there can be nothing wrong with being prepared for such occasions.

Plenty of world power brokers have warned of coming food shortages. Maybe they're full of ****. Maybe they're not. Also, food shortages aren't the same as mass starvation. If protein sources were to by priced well above what the average public could afford, but otherwise readily available to the elite, there is no food shortage. But there is definitely lack of food for some. They, those in the fold, will likely never eat bugs. Us, those not in the fold, will have to decide if eating bugs is acceptable. Those that believe themselves to be in the fold, but are not truly, will deny their position until the very end.
