    The difference between Hunting and self defence are different. Hunting you are going up against an animal with just a few rounds and usually only using one round to kill. Self defense is having more rounds than the bad guy. Criminals do not obey laws. Chances are the criminal is going to make sure he is LOADED with PLENTY of ammo. I dont want to have to go up against a criminal if Im only allowed to have "hunting amount" of rounds. If they take away our assult guns we might as well be sitting ducks. It WILL TURN INTO A SPORT for the crazy people.
