    Howdy folks

I am a recent transplant to NE Indy and I'm looking for somewhere I can do some field training with my lab/shorthair mix. Specifically I'm looking somewhere I can shoot my dummy launcher.

Last summer I was up at Boot Lake in Elkhart training him and someone called the police complaining of teenagers (I'm 27) wildly firing handguns in to the woods and at houses. Even though this is in no way what we were doing, the police showed up, they were understanding...anyways I digress. Are there places where I can train without having to worry about things like this?

Law enforcement community, do I need to/should I call ahead or something and explain that I'll be out in a field training and if someone reports 'gunfire' they are mistaken?? I just don't like ruffling feathers if they aren't gamebirds.
