Verizon has these cool new drones for $249 + tax

It's controlled by an app on my Droid and has a built-in HD video camera to spy on my neighbor.

It's really cool. It's about the size of a basketball, maybe a bit larger, and has 4 rotors on it (I think that's called a quad-rotor).

Anyways, I'm not usually one to spend money on these things but I thought it would be a great investment for keeping an eye on the neighborhood especially in SHTF or pre-planning for SHTF possibilities. It can fly up to 160 feet but I haven't had the guts to take it that high yet.

The only downside is that it has a short flight-time...

Wonder what my neighbors will think?

Anybody else buying these cheap drones?

Don't fly it over my property. I reserve the right to my airspace and small helocopters will be used as trap practice.

Well that is unless you let me take it for a spin . Then I would most likely had to have one also.

That's awesome. I was looking at getting one from DIYDrones-they evidently have a huge community around drones and some of them are incredibly advanced. Seems fun and could totally be useful!!
