Thank you for the laugh. The saddest part is that most of those probably weren't fake. I laughed especially hard at number 9. The intelligence level of some people baffles me.

My favorite was the one about being stuck on an escalator for a hour. Elevator? No, ESCALATOR.

Spend 5 minutes around any teenager or young adult. You'll soon realize these are definitely real.

I think dumb comments work on a bell curve. As a counter-example, here's a conversation I had with my mother while working on my family tree:

    Mom: So what are we?

Me: Your side is mostly English, Irish, and German.

Mom: So the Europeans are on your Dad's side?

    Me: *facepalm*

And as counter-example to that, here's some quotes from a 20-something guy I worked with. I swear he has some sort of disconnect between what he thinks and says:

"Listen to me in your own words"(My favorite)

Looking at a weather map: "It's raining pink and blue."

Referring to the baby of someone who was several months pregnant as "the baby that's not alive yet."

"The Nile is just a river in Egypt"

    "I've got a .22.....It can shoot, I think, 22 times."

He also used to always talk to a guy at work who is also a preacher. Well, I overheard him talking about how the Bible took place "during the reign of King Arthur and Luis III."

I can't overemphasize that none of his misquotes were done on purpose for comedic effect.

    Amen brother.

This does not surprise me at all. Text speak and doobies.
Apparently Colorado's (yes, the state) collective IQ will take a major dump. Again. In Indiana the doobie brothers all work at the drive through. For God's sake, somebody put the word out; YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SMOKE THE WHOLE THING. Puff-puff pass.

I saw this thread title for awhile and never clicked. When I finally did I realized it has nothing to do with cosmetic surgery.

I seriously think some brain cells just died when I read through those Facebook Comments. It amazes me how much air is trapped inside peoples' skulls.
