So ive been looking for/ Saving for a Glock 17 Gen 4 in Flat Dark Earth. They arent that easy to find. Sure enough I call Bradis Guns and they just got a shipment of Flat Dark Earth Glocks. So I made the road trip and brought home a SWEET new pistol so I had to show it off a little!! :rockwoot:

    Cool!

Congrats! I hope you have as much enjoyment from it as I am getting from my new Gen.4 G17. :D (Might need to get a string of pearls for mine though). :)

I have one in the pipe, should be here Tuesday or Wednesday.. Don't have a Gen 4 so I thought a FDE 17 would be a good investment. Once I get the trigger done I'm sure it will be sweet.

Thanks everyone. I'm very happy with it. I just went out and put 200 rounds of cheap 115 grain ammo through it to test reliability and it performed flawlessly.

How was the ejection pattern? Any brass going straight back, to the left or even forward?

What's the test fire date on it?

From the short video I got it looks like the brass was pretty consistent. None went forward or came back into my face. Ill try to post the video.

The test fire date is 9/20/12

Cool. I currently have a 27, a 23 and an old 30, and until recently had a 21 that was about 20 years old. I've never had any issues. I've been wanting to venture into a 9mm Glock, but the current woes have kept me away. Maybe the issues are under control.

My brother in FL has an older 19 and 26, as well as a newer 19 with a test fire date in earlier 2012. He's had all kinds of ejection problems with the newer 19 and has gone through several changes trying to correct it. He's waiting to get some of the new Apex parts to see if that corrects it. I was down in FL last week and witnessed it first hand compared to his older 19. The newer 19 would throw brass all over the place, including forward, straight back, etc, with various kinds of ammo.

Yea I was skeptic at first as well. When I bought my 19 I bought a gen 3 because I didn't want the headache of the gen 4 9mm's. Recently I have seen a lot of videos on YouTube where guys were having good luck with the "newer" gen 4's so I thought I would take a chance. When I bought it yesterday I picked up a few different brands of cheap 115 grain ammo just to test it. It seemed like 99% of people that were having trouble it was with the lighter 115 grain ammo. I put 200 rounds of nothing but 115 grain ammo through it and it performed just like it should. Not one single issue and no brass in my face. I was very pleased with it. I'm going to continue to test it to make sure it stays this way. It has the newer spring and the new 30274 (I do believe that's the number) ejector in it. I'm hoping glock has the issues worked out. We will see.
