I used to try that but now my wife works on sunday, so that is when I go shopping!!! It also helps that she doesnt know the combo to my safe.

Fortunately, my wife is very understanding. I had already exceeded the year's agreed allotment of firearms for the year (there's a joke in there somewhere) when I called from the 1500 and said, "I found the 228....". She responded with, "How can I say 'no....'".
My usual modus operandi is to ask for forgiveness rather than permission and she appreciated the notice...

She also knows the combination to the safe as she keeps her firearms in there as well. I should just get my own safe.....
