I let my girlfriend shoot my 1911. Now she wants one, so I've got to hunt a good one down!

How's that a mistake? It just brings another shooter into the sport. And gives her a way to protect herself when you're not around. Plus it gives you the excuse to get another 1911

If you are asking for a recommended 1911, I'll have to suggest a SA Loaded for best bang for the buck. Although some might suggest the RIA 1911's, I have never been a fan of the Armscor cast metal 1911's from the Philippines. I much prefer the Imbel forged metal frames from Brazil.
