Look at me! I made the cover and the feature article!

After some debate over the features of the floating chamber reamer holder I was gifted by a friend, I decided a new "improved " unit was in order. As I was sketching up my ideas/changes I took the opportunity to document my work and write an article about my project.

The reamer holder works well as I have done several rimfire chambers.

    What ya think?

I think it's awesome when people get recognized for their talents.

I also think you should rechamber my 10/22 barrel when time comes. Lol

I used my newly manufactured reamer holder to chamber this AR rimfire barrel...started life as a Remington 510 score Master barrel. Turned the entire job to 9/16 diameter. Turned the trunion from Aluminum used Loc-tite to glue it on. Then I made an aluminum barrel nut View attachment 287626 View attachment 287627 View attachment 287628 View attachment 287629 View attachment 287630 View attachment 287631 View attachment 287632
I do remember those threads now. Awesome work.

I'd be interested in seeing that when it's finished.

Are you familiar with the process Connecticut Precision Chambering uses to recut 10/22 barrels?

The AR22 is finished, I just need to find the target pictures

Yes I am familiar with CPC ..... personally I would buy an aftermarket barrel......it is the easy button......I put a Douglas on my 10/22 stock profile, shoots very good

If you want it to look stock, CPC is the berries. Kidd straight taper for me in the aftermarket world.

Being published is so awesome. Congratulations! Totally cool. Be sure to use your skill for good not evil (which pays better). To the @KellyinAvon Dr. Hook reference:

In the song's lyrics, he sang: "The biggest thrill we've never ever known is the thrill that'll getcha when you get your picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone Machinist's Workshop."

That works! Plus Rolling Stone is a leftist rag nowadays.
