Please don't tell us you haven't purchased a gun since 2002...THAT oughta be a felony. :D

Umm...I'm not sure that came out right:)

My non-purchase drought lasted from 1979 until June, 2011. I have purchased 3 since then, and gotten two of my previous guns back.

My wife doesn't appreciate my new/old hobby much. Just wait till I walk in the door with a $1200 1911. :D

Well my sisters boss (Lawyer) has totaly failed me.

He has done absolutly nothing about this in 3 months!:xmad:

I have hired another Lawyer 2 wks ago, he said there may be a snag
in getting this done, Porter Co can be quite unforgiveing as I have
allready found out in the past.

I may have to go the Firearm rights restored route, can anyone on
earth give me a straight answer on how that works?

    Good Luck!!

Hope you find a decent lawyer.

Many, but thankfully not all, lawyers want to make it seem a bit more difficult than it really is, they make more money that way. We had to retain a lawyer a while back for some family issues that needed to be worked out. The first lawyer we visited wanted $2500 to file the necessary paperwork and made it seem really difficult and she was gonna have to work her butt off to get it done. While we was saving our money for the retainer we spoke with another lawyer upon advice from friends. She was great, got the whole thing done in less than 60 days and charged less than 500 bucks. Come to find out she only needed to file a couple papers with the court and send a registered letter to the last known address of a certain person. When the letter came back she had to run an ad in the paper of the hometown of the last known address. Easy, fairly painless and very reasonably priced.

All that to say this: it never hurts to shop around a little bit and find a lawyer that does that kinda work every day.
