Im a pretty expierenced shooter looking to purchase my first revolver. I want something that is heavy but not too heavy, speed reloader compatible, and iron sight accurate. Any suggestions? I could use some help.

First wheel gun. Taurus 627. So much fun to shoot and looks great. Not practical with the long barrel, until I practice enough to take a whitetail with it.

    I have a Taurus 607 7-shot .357magnum with a 4" ported barrel.
It's heavy, with a 3/4 lug, but not too heavy. The porting makes shooting full-load .357's a dream.

I've even used it to take deer and coyote.

I was looking at the r8's , are the barrels interchangeable on it? Or does the gun come in different barrel lengths?

The Ruger SP101 and GP100 are both good choices but I will always prefer the discontinued Security six... It is heavier than the Sp101 but not quite as heavy as the GP100.

It is really hard to beat on older S&W K frame. Models 10 or 15 are quite common, and usually shoot rather well.

Love my model 10! The Hogue grip makes a world of difference in control too. While I know snubbies are for up close and personal, I was hitting center mass at about 30 yards the other day.
