Until I saw the price tag.
I Googled .45acp AR15, and came up with the name Bazooka Brothers. Seems they have been building .45acp AR's for more than 10 years. They use gease gun mags.

When I looked at the price I thought I may want to think again.
    $3200 for an AR15?

A little steep for my wallet.

Are there other, more affordable brands out there?

If it doesn't have to be AR platform, the Just Right Carbines are available in 45ACP and can use most AR style furniture. I know a few guys that have them and seem to like them pretty well. They can run on Glock or M&P mags. The Glock 21 mags you could get the Kriss mag extenders to make them higher capacity. Might be worth taking a look at.
