Would you pay between $350,000 and $500,000 for a car or light truck that gives you and your loved ones a 99% survival chance for accidents at highway speeds? Yes it also has ballistic protection.

I said I don't have that much money to spend on a car.

He claims there are 300,000 people that would purchase his design if it goes into production. Picture in your mind an angular road warrior looking car and truck. The truck has similar lines to the Hummer H1 slant back. I think INGO would approve of the designs, but frown on the expense.

Well, I'm a single young man, so I will foolishly continue to think I am invincible and have no need for such silliness. Anyone who tries to snap me out of my delusions is obviously wrong, because of science.

Let's see... I save $300k by not buying the vehicle + $800,000 in life insurance coverage...

My family is ahead by more than a million bucks. I don't think my wife would let me buy it if I wanted to.

No. That's too much of a price premium for the very little increase in safety. We're already to the point where most late-model vehicles are very safe during a collision.

About 5,500,000 car crashes in the U.S. kill about 32,000 people annually. Survival rate is already 99% (assuming average of two people per crash). Admittedly that 5.5 million is all crashes, not just those at highway speeds, but I couldn't find any information broken out by vehicle speed.
