This is like trying to pick one caliber. Can't be done. I suppose that if I only had one gun, it would most likely be an AK. I love the versatility of the AR-15, My favorite caliber is .45 Colt, I'm a devoted 1911 fan and I carry a Glock 30 every where I go, but if I had to narrow it to one, I'd pick an AK because it's handy, it works in all conditions and in all weather. It's large enough to kill a deer and it's accurate enough for my eyes. Fortunately, I don't have to choose.

    Can't do it.
But here's a vote for the GP-100. Yes, it's concealable, even with the 6 7/8 barrel. Much more versatile, reliable, and accurate than any Glock or 9mm, and puts rounds on target much faster.
Also a vote for the Mossberg 835. I'd take it over the 500 or an 870.

If I had to pick? I would keep my Springfield 1911 milspec. For reliability, I would have probably chosen a Glock but if it was the only one I had to look at for the rest of my life, I pick the 1911.
