Illinois Nanny-state strikes again: ID required to purchase Drano

Leave it to Illinois! New state law requires state-issued ID to purchase Liquid-Plumr, Drano, or other similar products and personal information is recorded.

Rather than looking at it as an intrusive measure, Illinois lawmakers said Friday they agree that regulating drain cleaners and other products is needed to protect the public from those who may use them to do harm.
