Not only is Illinois one of thee worst states for gun rights but now a new bill proposed is making it easy for law enforcement to pry into your personal life by ways of going through your social media accounts to look for any signs of violent tendencies towards others or yourself. And likely the smallest thing they find could get you denied!
They have the FOID program, waiting periods, carry restrictions, mag restrictions, and so on. Now this..

Illinois is coming up with creative ways to restrict their citizen's right to defend themselves and their home. It helps fuel the second hand markets like Facebook groups and Armslist. Not familiar with other online avenues of circumventing the state regulations for gun sales.

Illinois has it's fair share of bad neighborhoods in the cities and towns. Violent crime, drug trade, human trafficking, etc. I have traveled all over the US for work for about a decade and seen it from different points of view. There are valleys and peaks and in all Illinois is the worst. They are broke, have failing school systems, overcrowded jails, businesses leaving instead of growing, juicing tax payers of all they can where cook county is the absolute worst. The list can go on but you get it.

The people of Illinois are continuing to have their 2A right infringed upon. It's a sad thing to see.

They get what they vote for. When someone wants to talk about a new law, I always ask them to name one law that actually stopped one thing from happening. Most people don't understand the concept that laws only give a means for punishment after the fact. Laws are for the wicked and the good need none and yet the good are the only ones bound by them.

I'm amazed NY beat them to it. The commies in China started the whole "social score" thing, not surprising the commies here want to get on-board.

I recall seeing the social score being part of a script for Black Mirror. Their(china's) need for transparency in China is stemmed from communist control over their people. Scoring them is irrelevant. I believe its china where you have to get government approval to have a child also. In addition i think they have a program in place to allow the terminally ill and elderly to end their life voluntarily(presumably humanely) for the benefit of their society and to help control their population.
Illinois is further compounding their rank as worst state in the country.

CitizenX: FYI: I, for one, did not vote for Jabba the Hutt. He was elected by the Shi*cago sheep, Madigan clones, and people who never registered to vote or even got near a polling place. Call it voter apathy. I talked to my coworkers for hours about the importance of voting, and letting your voice be heard. Fell on deaf ears. Now we have Jabba and his minions in the house and senate trying to ram through his campaign promises. IÂ’ve been a resident of this state for all of my 66 years on earth, and I have seen and lived through many attempts at curtailing our gun rights, beginning in 1968. Gun control act, Foid card act, Morton Grove gun ban, magazine restrictions, anti carry rights, the list is endless.

Toss in the gun violence in schools across this great country, and countless other venues, Moms Demand Action, Bloomberg, Schumer, Pelosi, (another endless list), and you get a recipe for disaster. “Sensible gun laws”, another catchphrase like “Saturday Night Special” is the current saying to try to lull people to numbness. It’s all mind boggling. Taxes in this state are the highest in the country, and they still want more. Another income tax hike, plus taxing our pensions is on the horizon. They can’t fix this state, they won’t cut spending, then wonder why people are leaving this state in droves, numbers leaving are tremendous. We need to change our state motto from “Land of Lincoln”, to “Land that Lincoln Could Never Imagine”. I can’t wait to retire and leave.

So be vigilant, my Indiana friends, the wolf is at your door. Already proposals in Lake County restricting gun ranges. Shi*cago people moving into Lake County, bringing their gun restrictions with them. Support the NRA, Second Amendment Foundation, or other gun rights advocates, contribute money and your time. It’s worth the fight. I’m reminded of the closing scene in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”, where, wounded and bleeding, they steel themselves to rush out of the cantina, to try to escape the trap they’re in. They have no idea of the numbers allayed against them. And as the still shot fades to sepia, you hear the untold, coordinated gunfire....

For many year the corrupt Chicago socialists roll out new anti 2A bills in the legislature. It is like a rite of spring for these criminals. I was fortunate to get out years ago and am encouraging my few remaining relatives in Illinois to do the same. Back in the sixties the majority of my family lived in Cook county. Today there are none.

The new puppet governor, Pritzker, is on record saying the latest gun law proposals are only the beginning. With the state now totally controlled by the Dems we will see the future of this wonderful socialism being touted nationwide.
