After ISIS indicated that it is going to target more civilian "soft targets" in the US like theaters, restaurants and schools, I had an interesting discussion about potential terrorist attacks in Indianapolis on "The Gun Guy Show" with FBI Special Agent in Charge Jay Abbott and IMPD Chief of Police Troy Riggs - including how private citizens can assist law enforcement. I asked SAC Abbott directly about the role of the armed civilian, and I think you'll be surprised by his answer.

Thanks for the link. I enjoyed listening to it and got some information I was not aware of. To be honest though, if it was a terrorist type situation, as an armed and well trained private citizen, I would find it hard to not attempt to protect the others (regardless of the level of protection for private citizens). Hopefully I'll never be in a situation that I have to make that decision.
