You know, guns have been banned on Indiana University campuses far longer than they have been banned on LA Community College campuses. I don't see people jumping up and down in anger about the communist, socialist, fascist state that is Indiana. California would be more conservative than we are, if it took them until now to ban guns from campuses.

So what do you say, guys? Fix the problem at home first?

What??? Indiana does not have anything to do with a college enacting a no guns policy. Indiana has no law barring guns from campuses.

    Stupid, stupid, stupid.

“I believe that the NRA's goal is to promote gun ownership, and that guns lead to deaths,” he said. “So, not having the NRA teach classes, not having the NRA classes on our campuses, is a good thing.”
“I’m much happier with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department protecting our students and our staff and our faculty than having some random person who took a three-hour class and thinks that they’re Dirty Harry,” he added.
I wonder if this man has ever seen a Clint Eastwood movie.

I read it just to make sure it wasn't an article from The Onion. Sadly it wasn't.
Svonkin, who authored the resolution, told Campus Reform that he himself was not sure what “non-operational” meant.
“You know, I’m not an expert in guns,” he said

This Svonkin guy should send this quote to the college he attended, along with a request for a refund.

I bet the rule was specifically for the NRA class

It may well have been written to get rid of that class. The anti-gun crowd hates the idea of gun safety training. It flys in the face of all they stand for. The very idea of making people safer around guns is just not acceptable to them. Yet, they preach for the removal of guns from society so we can all be safer.

In truth, most anti-gunners fall into a couple of categories. First, there are the stupid. These are the ones that genuinely believe that banning guns will stop crime. Next are the power trippers. To them, a gun gives a person power and being a power tripper, they are Ok with themselves having a gun, but hate the idea that the lowly common citizen can gain that same power. After that, comes the cowards. These are teh people that would stand around watching an elderly man get beaten claiming that it's none of their business. These are the ones that have a home defense plan of hiding in their closet until a normal human can come to protect them. These people hate guns because the sight of a person carrying a gun reminds them of how craven they are. It makes them confront their own cowardice. They think that if nobody had a gun, they might just blend in to the crowd of cowering people if confronted with evil. I really do not like that last group.

Thats about as stupid as what I was told Marian University by the campus police when I was told that I could be expelled if I carried my empty holster on campus in show of support for my 2A rights..

They aren't banning guns on campus, they did that long ago. They are banning "non-functional" guns used in a safety class that is taught in a locked room away from the general population.

Even the genius behind the ban admits he doesn't know what a non-functional gun is, but he knew it was the right thing to do to prevent "Dirty Harry" types. You know, the Dirty Harry types interested in gun safety.

"Do you know the Four Rules? Well, do ya... punk?" - Little known quote from Harry Callahan :):

Did they tell you what the rule was that you'd be breaking?
Cause I'm pretty sure they don't have a rule on wearing empty holsters.

When I go through Notre Dame every day, the thing that always gets me is; people actually live here.

That's such an odd concept for me. Why would anybody choose to live in a place where self defense is forbidden? Why would anyone even go there?

Even worse, why would you pay an exorbitant amount of money to live there? It's insane.
