As long as it is .243 or larger in caliber and and the case is longer than 1.16 inches, then it is legal in a pistol. Got a .30-06 pistol? Shoot it. .35 Rem? Shoot it. 7mm Remington Magnum? Shoot it.
These rules are not difficult to understand and published in at least 20 different places and there have been countless threads here on INGO.
That being said, there is not one single published and approved regulation that allows the 1.8" case length in a pistol caliber rifle - yet. Don't bet on it being legal for 2011, either.
