I have not been able to find the list of what rifles I can use for hunting coyote. I know I can't hunt deer with a rifle but I can't find that listed anywhere.

Anyone got a link so I can be sure I'm legal ?

Found on the DNR > Furbearer site, under the Predator Calling section.

"There are no restrictions on hunting hours or firearms for hunting fox and coyote."

    DNR: Furbearer Regulations

    IANAL and YMMV.

Thank you I read right over that the first time. I was worried I couldn't use FMJ 7.62x54r and having trouble finding them HP.:rockwoot:

    Can't wait to start:ar15:

    No problem.

I just happened to catch it while skimming. Seems like an odd place to just casually mention that. I would have expected it to be explicitly called out in a separate section. Or at least bold.

Good luck out there. It didn't happen if there aren't any pics. ;)

You CAN use rifles for deer hunting... *sigh*

Just as long as you follow the case dimension restrictions, that is.

As Kirk says, high-speed rifle projectiles turn into pixie dust when you shoot up at a squirrel, but shooting level or down at a deer means that babies & children will be killed.

Don't forget about the minorities. Bullets launched into the earth from a tree stand (unless shotgun slugs or pistol bullets) seek out women, children, men in sandals and minorities.

This is the IDNR Magic Bullet Theory.

I wear socks with sandals, I'm exempt, right?:rockwoot:
