This must be a localized problem. According to MISO, the region is forecasted to have a demand less than the available generating capacity, at least for the rest of the day.

    Off the Grid In Tennessee
Got the TVA notice yesterday, we've had no power interruptions here though....................yet.
We have not had localized outage, here either. 2 degrees here for most of the day yesterday. Prompted me to put our generator up on the front porch. Opened one of the windows a bit to fit the power strip through, power for the multi fuel stove, coffee pot. We are not about being cold around here lol.

    A holler in Kentucky
Seems weird that they're doing this now that the worst of the storm/cold has passed.
I honestly believe that the scamdemic was just a push to see exactly what the powers that be could get away with. We might as well get used to every entity in the world just saying “**** it, we don’t have to go out of our way anymore to make sure people get what they pay for and expect”.

They know they can slack off and nobody will do a damn thing about it.

They are not MISO, they are PJM.

“PJM Interconnection requested the reduction in energy usage to curb increased regional demand on the grid due to cold the extremely cold weather.”

“(PJM) is a regional transmission organization (RTO) and part of the Eastern Interconnection grid operating an electric transmission system serving all or parts of Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.”

That might make a little more sense. Could be they are experinencing the brunt of what we did yesterday. (I haven’t monitored the weather, that‘s just a guess).
