It is time for the first Indiana Multigun match of the 2015 season! Jon and the Hillside team always put together a good match, so what better way to start the season! For more details, see here.

    Event #1
    March 29, 2015 - Hillside Shooting Sports
    Registration: 9:00am - 9:45am
    RO Walkthru: 9:30am
    Shooters' Meeting: 10:00am
Match starts immediately following shooters' meeting
    Stages: 5
    RULES: Indiana Multi-Gun Rules
    MATCH FEE: $25 Adult

    Approximate Minimum Round count:
    Rifle – 120
    Handgun - 100
    Birdshot – 75
    Slugs - 5

We will be shooting to 350 yards with Rifle, 100 yards with Slugs and 50 yards with Pistol on different stages.

Stage 1 will be a Rifle/Pistol stage with Rifle shots to 200 and pistol shots to 50 yards.
Stage 2 will be a Rifle/Shotgun Stage with Rifle to 350 and slugs to 100.
Stage 3 will be a 3 Gun Stage
Stage 4 will be a Pistol Stage
    Stage 5 will be a Rifle/Pistol Stage

It will most likely be squishy/wet in the pistol bays and since it will most likely be Spring Time Wet and Muddy, we won't be shooting from in front of the Concrete on the Rifle Range, we'll be shooting on the concrete to keep the mess to a minimum.

NOTE: that all matches at Hillside, ACC, Wildcat Valley and NPCCC are conducted under a COLD RANGE as per USPSA rules. All guns must be either holstered (or bagged) at all times, unloaded, hammer down, with no magazine inserted. Long guns should remain bagged, or in a rack with an open action, and/or an "empty chamber indicator" (flag) in place. It is the shooter's responsibility to ensure that the muzzle of any gun is never pointed in an unsafe direction. You may only handle your gun only at the direction of the range officer (RO), or in the designated "safe areas." You may not handle any ammunition or loaded magazines in the safe areas. Violation of these or any other safety rules shall result in a match disqualification.

No. A rough outline like above is about all you can expect. Most of the times it will just be a overall round Count for the match. We really don't have anything truly set until we set up the match.

Just an update to the season opening! Jon has discovered that the parking lot is in a bit of disarray due to the rain and melting snow. The ground is a bit soft. Trucks and SUVs should not be an issue, but passenger cars may have a tough time. Please plan accordingly!

Parking lot and driveway is being worked on. 2 loads of stone were brought in. It's still a little rough but it's improved from what it was.

The range itself is drying out quickly. We have some straw on hand to help with any troublw spots. We are still planning on shooting from the rifle line due to most of that being a flood plain.

Bundle up its gonna be a chilly one tomorrow.

Range is actually much much better than it was Tuesday when we were there doing last minute build stuff.

Just some minor things to do in the morning setup wise! I think there are only 2 paper targets at this entire match, the rest is all steel! I think Blake even named one of the stages "Steel Hell" something about a 23rd all Pistol Steel Stage and a 23rd All Shotgun Stage.....

We will only be going out to roughly 300 tomorrow due to the chance for wind. Hopefully next match I can push it out a little futher and its dried up to the point that we can run a Blue Ridge style climb a berm and shoot from the top of the berm out to 400 stage.
