Welcome to INGO ... nice pistol you purchased.

As you are now painfully aware ... you'll need thick skin to survive around here if you happen to use an incorrect term or word.

Please don't get them started on the number of safety rules ... FWIW, 3 is the correct answer.

Serious question ... where do you do practice with that nice new pistol?

As long as you're cluing him in don't forget to avoid 5 year old girls, state troopers, boner drones, water gun stealing friends and that Glock sucks.

Best place for gun deals: back alley after dark from a dude in a trench coat. Nothing recorded. He doesn't know you, you dont know him. Gun? What gun? :shady:

    Welcome!

Please feel free to ask any questions you have. They'll get answered. Now, before, during and after the answer, we may get kinda sarcastic at times, but please don't take that personally...it just makes you one of the group.

    Not far from the tree
Don't let the goofy's run you off.
You sound like you have the LTCH application in process. That is good.

You know it's legal for you to own it. That's good.

No handgun registry in IN. Now you know. That's good.

You found INGO. That's good. Welcome!

Someone 21 or older will need to buy handgun ammo for you. That's not so good but probably not insurmountable.

Again, welcome. Lots of wisdom and wit here if you can sort one from the other. Good luck.

You need to be licensed to carry. That is the only legality to be concerned with. You should get that going immediately.

Otherwise, responsible gun owners seek firearms training. We certainly hope that you would peruse the Tactics And Training sub-forum and enroll in a class or few.

    :ingo:

Can you get a license to carry if you're under 21?

    Yes.

Although you might be too young to purchase a handgun from a FFL or to buy handgun ammunition, you are eligible for an Indiana LTCH at 18, if you are otherwise qualified (i.e. a "proper person" as defined by IC 35-47-1-7).

My son applied for and received his LTCH shortly after his 18th birthday.

Don't be surprised if your threads get hijacked or go off the rails, they'll eventually get back on track

This question is vague and calls for a narrative. I object, vigorously.

I was on a jury (federal case - pretty interesting) and the defense attorney would get in trouble by the judge for not standing up when he objected. The prosecution would snicker. We on the jury even got in on the game and people would whisper that he needed to stand up.
