Indianapolis Area Sharpeners

Anyone have a recommendation for a good sharpening service in Indianapolis? Or just know of any? I do touch-ups throughout the year, but once or twice a year I like for a pro to do it. I use a place in WA state just because where I used to live didn't have any kind of service. Thanks

I know that Phylodog does it and does an amazing job. He has some expensive sharpening utensil and can put a mirror edge on it. I was planning on taking him my esee5.

Yep

Phylodog and Nova 512 both have a great system for sharpening knives. I have several that Nova512 has done for me and they are scary sharp.

if your on the east side ive been doing quite a few for friends and family lately. im using a wicked edge system also.

Nova is on the west side IIRC and sharpens on the SW side on the weekends. I'm on the NE side.

I second phylodog. He sharpened my Byrd folder, ESEE Junglas, and a couple Busse for a reasonable price.

Before you take it to anyone figure out that type of edge you want, V or convex

I know a lot of people use the Wicked Edge and similar systems and I always hate when a beautiful convex edge is fubared into a V grind
