Indianapolis LTCH office question.

My wife and I need to go to the office in INDY for local PD to finish our app process. The website says money order or cert check. does anyone know if they accept other payments now? The site hasn't been updated since 2006

Call them and ask. Different jurisdictions have different rules. Vanderburgh County, for instance, also accepts personal checks ..

I believe the city county building takes cash, but I would call before going.

yeah i will have the wife call today to make sure i guess. getting people on the phone there sucks though. oh well it is her headache not mine.

I was manually finger printed in December of last year, but they don't offer that anymore. When I went, I payed cash at the sheriffs dept. and then I had to send a money order to the state.

Just for others info. My wife called the indianapolis desk for local police. They only accept cash now at the city/county building.

If you're a resident of Lawrence or Speedway, you have to go to their police headquarters. Lawrence only let me pay via money order or cashier's check. And I was manually fingerprinted, but that was in September of last year.

My LEA only took CA$H, to many bad checks I guess.

I applied in February and went to the city county. They took my USPS money order. Maybe that's changed in my few month wait.

Thanks. They really need to update their information. The website said that there was an option of doing L1, but then the office said everyone has to do the Safran fingerprinting now. The paper they gave us downtown said money order or certified check, but not who to make it out to. (Plus the page says "Indianapolis Police Metropolitan Police Department" - maybe one too many Polices in there?)

Going in to pay local dues today, I guess I'm bringing cash - thanks! (I was going to search here and try to confirm who to make money orders out to... but not an issue anymore)
