You hear a lot of crap about Hi-Points. I wouldn't buy one; that pot metal thing, plus big, ugly and dumb, but I think there's a place for them. i saw a video, these guys, I think they were a pawnshop or something, but they came into a couple that had trigger locks and they had to cut the trigger guards off, so they couldn't sell them. They decided to torture them to destruction. They tried everything they could think of; way overpressure rounds, even driving a lag bolt into the barrel with a hammer. Certainly nothing I'd do to a Sig or even a Taurus. I think they finally broke one badly enough that it wouldn't keep working. Just firing factory rounds, they probably wouldn't give you any trouble.
