While looking for some info on the title subject I ran across several interesting links and thought others might be interested in reading these. This search began as an attempt to learn more about gun barrels and what desired construction methods are, which could produce a longer life and accuracy expectancy.

If anyone has some thoughts on this subject or also counter arguments for button rifled barrels I'd be interested in reading your input.

The second is a continuation/expanded version of the first.
