info on lafayette gun show

Anyone been to shows in the past. If so what is the show like.

It kind of a small show, but generally friendly. The building is pretty poorly lit, so if you are looking for details on a firearm, it is handy to bring a small flashlight.

I've found that dealers here at this show are less willing to deal. Even giving them a more than fair offer, they wouldn't bite. I have found some okay deals on ammo here.

Although a small show, I have had very good luck there finding some odd-ball stuff like a first generation Beretta 92, a couple of fairly hard to find mags, a Canadian import Norinco and several other reasons to come home with less money but more hardware.

I'll save you a trip. There will not be any at that show. Our Catalog Try Aim. If there are make sure they are not marked PTS. There was a dealer at the 1500 trying to pass off Magpul PTS stuff off as the real thing.

Last Lafayette show I was able to find some very fair prices on 5.56 ammo.
Easy to navigate and look around. As mentioned, poor lighting.
Added bonus of not having to stand in line waiting to get in...

A buddy and I are getting a table to get rid of odd and end stuff. I'm taking an AR10, some IR lasers, 6.5x55 and 762x54 Prvi ammo and who knows what else. He is taking some pack and an M1 and other goods. Have to get a table I still can't walk far on my broken leg. I have always done good walking this show have bought and sold some high dallar stuff that didn't get a second look at bigger shows.

Well that sucks. I take it you have been to the show? Whats the deal with the PTS stuff?
