A girl that is a friend of ours just got hired as the new assistant editor at the American Rifleman. She is leaving our little town to move to Virginia for this new position.

Broadly speaking, Shooting Illustrated is more focused toward self-defense issues and the action shooting sports like USPSA and 3 Gun. It has more of a "Gun Culture 2.0" focus than American Rifleman.
