What difference does a poll make in how you vote? I've watched two debates, embarrassing name calling, beautiful Megyn Kelly demonized, and I will make America great over and over again without any details. Enough is enough. Although, I'm kind of glad that it matters in Indiana. Could we get an AG to go after Hillary instead of the Police and Oil companies?

I'll be voting for Ted Cruz or nobody.
I will NEVER vote for con-man Trump.
And if by some miracle Trump gets elected and sells us out, I'll be reminding all the people who believed Trump's BS that "I told you so...".

Can you trust the opinions of people who willingly take surveys? :dunno:

Those who suggest only Cruz/Kasich/Bush/etc can beat Hillary use poll numbers to support their arguments. Seems odd the guy taking the highest percentage of primary voter support is supposedly the least likely to be able to compete against the democratic nominee. This polls data seems to contradict this premise.

And according to the poll, even more feel the same way about Cruz. Cruz is not a winning candidate period. He can't win primary support, he won't win over the other party affiliates, and he won't beat Clinton. His chances of being president are as good as anyone else not currently in the race... because neither is he, he just doesn't realize it yet.

A poll doesn't make any difference in how I vote, but it is an indicator of voters in general.

I can understand not liking the candidate that our party is going to have. Given the choice, Im sure most of us would chose anyone else over Cruz or Trump.

However, to not vote because you dislike the republican candidate is the kind of thing that will guarantee a Democrat victory. The Dems will be out in mass voting for either the liar or the socialist,(whichever on God forbid it is) and too much is at stake to just take your ball and go home. IMO.

    Bring it on.
Trump has a lifelong record of changing his political views and alliances like a flag flapping the breeze.
He has ZERO lifelong principles except what's good for Donnie.
I always have avoided people like this in my day to day life because I can't count on them.
I'm SURE not going to vote for anybody like this.

Polls aside, Cruz has a steady track record throughout his life of steady philosophical government principles.
He doesn't flap like a flag in the breeze like Trump has throughout his life.
I could sleep at night fully trusting Cruz not to sell out my 2nd Amendment rights if the hard left put on the political pressure.
I also trust Cruz to nominate proper "originalist" Supreme Court Justices.

Trump on the other hand supported the "assault weapon" ban and longer waiting periods up to just a few months ago when he "claimed" he's now for the 2nd Amendment.
I will NEVER trust Trump to not sell us out if the political pressure gets put on him by the hard left.
And I would never trust Trump to nominate "originalist" Supreme Court Justices, as i'm not sure Trump has ever read the US Constitution, or even respects it.

It's not so much that he has changed his mind, but the frequency and numbers of issues with which he has done so.
Hell, there are even some issues on which he has changed his opinion two or more times.

He's a politician and anyone that expects less is not being honest either.
There's no great Messiah that's going to fix America and heal the foot the Republican party keeps shooting themselves in.
You have to give the Dems credit though. They keep preaching about how the middle class is getting the shaft and it continues to work.
No one is offering solutions and just spouting of how they'll miraculously fix all the problems America faces.
For once I'd like to see ANY candidate bend over and pull that magic wand out of their azz

LMAO, you act as if these men that have previously held this position haven't always been self absorbed narcissistic bastards. News flash, 'we' haven't been 'represented' for a long damn time... sooner you come to that conclusion, the sooner you catch up with the rest of us.

At age 60, my basic political philosophy is the same as it's been since I was in my early 20's.
I've had no big swings, just refinements of already held basic beliefs.

By the time a man is almost 70 years old, he should be LONG past having a whimsical belief system.
Especially if he thinks he should be President.

The most dependable elected officials are ones who show a steady record on the issues, and don't change what they claim to believe during the election cycle (which is simply pandering to get votes from gullible fools).

    Surveys are worthless.

    1) Most people say they'll "move to Canada" if their political choice doesn't win. They don't actually move. Opinions are crap.
    2) Most people don't even freaking vote. 3/4 of those people giving their opinion won't even show up on election day.
