I was doing a bit of reading a few days ago and found this.

    NEW- Crovel

I like the idea for this one. Sort of the Swiss Army Knife of the shovel world. Multi-tools are a good thing if they are of good quality. I like that it is made in the U.S.A.,:patriot: and the fact that the thing has a useful length of paracord is a plus as well ( you can never have too much ). :) All the tools mentioned would be handy at some time or another. It would be a lot handier than lugging a bunch of individual tools for sure.

Just wondered if anyone has seen this or has actually purchased one.
Some folks might not think much about it, but I can see where this would be a very good tool to have. It may not be "THE" tool, but under the right circumstance......

So how about it ? Anyone know anything about this one ?

I personally would like to see a video of the manufacturer showing all 13 different "skills". Most tools that do lots of jobs don't do most of them well.

Looks like something that aisan kid from the Goonies would come up with.

To me the spade end looks awkward and possibly a weak point.

Something smiilar was posted a while ago on here. I think this was the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b60OZhrTB6o. It's demoed by what looks like Chinese army soldiers but has English subtitles. Not sure if it is the exact same tool and manufacturer, but they look the same to me.

The music is pretty awesome too!

I'd hate to be using the crow bar and have it slip off... looks like it would send that serrated shovel edge right into yourself... I'll just stick with dedicated tools...

I see what they did to a standard crowbar and mated it with a entrenching tool. The twist lock thingy appears to be a weak link.

Those forks at the bottom are going to hurt you if you use it wrong......

I think it should be standard issue.......................

The thing is, I don't haul all those tools around with me camping as is, so why do I need all of them in one?

At a house I'll just use the individual ones. Plus I haven't had to dig a hole and pry open a box at the same event since I last dug for cemetery treasure.

    :)
