I know who Mr. Appleton is (he owns a business in the area, as well as being a volunteer firefighter in a nearby town).....

I just can not say I will feel sympathy for him. When you are in a position where people look up to you, your every action is in the spotlight, especially when the action is bad.

Not sure this is even an issue. Sounds like he was assaulting someone and he was on probation. He got busted for it. Done. Sad thing is he has the knowledge to help the dumb*** and his family. 100MPH? Why? Was buying the Elmo doll that important?
