    I do!
I immediately ran out and bought a brand new JM stamped Marlin 1894 in .44mag.
Six months later Marlin stopped making that model...
I got one of the last JM stamped 1894's. I used it this season to take a nice 9 point buck.

Antlerless, Ruger .44 mag auto (Sporter).

Was talking to guy behind gun counter at a shop, when a customer heard me tell him of my Ruger kill.
Fudd said I was a poacher, because the law was for single shots and lever guns only.
Mouthed off several times. Threatened to call the DNR on me.
Told him one more and the DNR might have reason to actually arrest me.

A few yrs later I worked the gun counter at another shop. Heard the same crap, from way too many people.

The average deer hunter is a friggin idiot.
But then, the average non deer hunter is too.

Hell I got razzed about using a Contender Super 16 in .35 rem trimmed to PCR spec.
F&S did a little thing about my gun online.......and a couple of folks commented about it being "illegal".
When the article explicitly stated the law, my compliance, and that the bbl was 16.25".
    SMDH.

Showed the rifle locally and got a few "uh ohs" too. Think maybe some on this site as well.

Super 16............but with a G2 forend, the bbl didn't project past the tip like it would with a G1 foreend.
That alone was why people thought it too short.
As if a forearm change cuts a Super 16 bbl down?

    Morons.

Questioning my rifle choices was fine, condemning them was not.
Jumping my **** when I'm 100% legal really p*ssed me off.

There’s a lot of folks who are “experts” at (fill in the blank) and love to spout off. Doesn’t just happen w firearms and hunting!
