Is it legal/possible to update my ArchAngel III ?

I bought a AWC ArchAngel III 22 suppressor in 1993. It is stainless steel and can not be disassembled. Is it legal and/or possible to have it "overhauled" by a different Indiana based Class III manufacturer so that it can be cleaned?

If not, how would I clean the internals on this can? It has had about a thousand rounds through it.

I know Liberty Suppressors offers an overhaul service for older un-serviceable cans. They manufacture a monocore for the can. They're not in Indiana though.

You could soak your can in solvent, which will remove some carbon, but will not remove the main clogger of rimfire cans which is lead.

That dip is nasty stuff, and HIGHLY toxic. Ill clean mine by hand with a toothpick before I mess with it. Lead Poisoning is no joke (and you can absorb lead thru your skin)

This will fix your Arcangell III. It fixed mine. I filled mine full so as it was not suppressing and it took care of the problem. Nasty stuff but it works. My avatar is an xray of my Archangel III after cleaning with this method.

I doubt your can will be dirty enough after 1k rounds to need cleaned. My OBII has ten times that number through it and still works well.
