Never shoot at hard surfaces or water. Your call but I would use caution as Murphy's Law is ever present.
You can only shoot ice if you make a video of it for us. Or at least take pictures.
Those targets are designed, if properly done, to deflect the lead toward the ground. I am just saying what the Indiana Hunter Education material advises. Again, Murphy's Law is alive and well. I shoot bowling pins but while doing so I must realize the bullet, once out of the muzzel, can take it's own course. Have fun shooting but be careful.So everyone who shoots steel is....wrong?
Nothing is assured in this world, but if you have a location where ricochet or shards of ice won't cause anyone else an issue, then it's as safe as shooting at steel targets. I do it all the time in the winter. Wear your eye pro.
