Is now the time to buy game cams?

With the end of dear seasons quickly approaching, I am wondering if now is the time to buy game cameras for the best pricing?

I know very little about these cameras. Do you loose out on next years technology or pricing advantages by buying this years gear?

inless you plan on paying top dollar than i dont think you are going to loose out on technology. but I like to put cameras out at the end of season to see what made it threw hunting season. I got a big 10 pointer this year it has a 20.5 inch spread. I could not pass it up ( I am getting it mounted ) but anyway I knew there was a bigger 12 pointer in the area. i got him on my cam a few times. so i am going to put my 4 cams out and see if he made it. that will keep m excited for next year if he did.

I live rural. I could see having a cam or two set up year round.

I would buy one during the "prehunting season" equipment sales that start to appear in late summer to early fall. If you can find a killer deal now go for it!!!

I do notice box stores that have a sporting goods sections have killer deals after christmas / before new years time frame. I always keep my eyes open at Menards, Meijer's, wally world for red tags. I consider it my post-hunt hunt. They need the self space and I don't mind a deal.

^^^ That. Usually I stock up on hunting goods during this time. Some excellent deals can be had.

Now's the time to buy tree stands. Dicks usually has them on sale around this time. I bought two last year buy one e get one free.

In my opinion now is the time to buy any hunting gear most places will start to clear out inventory have gotten some great deals
