No, that's the type of carry license. You can either get one that allows you to carry a handgun when you hunt. Or one for personal protection, which allows you to carry a handgun anywhere not prohibited.

actually there is a bill out there right now that could bring the ltl back. I doubt it will actually go through. Introduced Version, House Bill 1299 As I understand it they threw the last sentence to help the bill get through.

IDNR lost a ton of money with the Comprehensive hunting license, at least they have on me. I bought mine for $350.00 in 1987 right before the price jump and I have killed a ton of deer and turkeys sense. I can't ever see them bringing it back.

Dang i sure wish that they would have the lifetime hunting license back. I could sure save alot of money.

If it did come back, I'd seriously think about investing in it.

And I don't currently hunt, nor have any interest in hunting.

But I might one day...
