It's been quite awhile - but I thought I might try to purchase a gun off of Gunbroker. In order to bid I typed in user name and password and received a "pop up" box saying my information was "suspect." The pop box said I was supposed to fax a copy of my driver's license and a current utlility bill. I am not comfortable providing that information to an unknown fax number.

I then typed a message to the Gunbroker site trying to establish my bona fides. That was over a week ago . . . . have received no response.

In the meantime the gun I was going to bid has been sold.

Anyone else have this type of issue ? I've purchased a few guns off of Gunbroker and actually even sold a couple. Never any issues with any of the transactions. I don't have a clue why my identity would be called into question. :xmad:

Never seen or heard of this.
Gunbroker always asks for a credit card to put on file, along with your email address, this is the ONLY verification I've ever seen them ask for. I've been a registered member buyer/seller since 2005.

    Sounds "phishy" to me.
