It took three lawyers to decide for me to sign a NDA

Went to a place this week that I had to be screened before I could get past the gate.

I walk into the meeting and they have a 3 page non disclosure form that I must sign before anything else can be done. It took 45 minutes for the lawyers at work to say I could sign it.

Got to love the feds for pulling this at the at minute.

The rest of the day was very interesting and worth the delay.

So, is the NDA binding? Or, you gonna fill us in?

Had a public school system tell me the day before my 3rd visit (in less than 6 months), that they now required background checks on all contractors. I told them they could a) meet me off-site, b) reschedule (but they are responsible for all cancellation fees), or c) grandfather me in. They picked C. I visited 2 more times, and still have not been "checked".

A a consultant, I find NDAs amusing. They wouldn't be hiring me if they thought I wasn't bring more to the table than I was getting.

Let me introduce you to a thing called "Hourly Billing".

He knows, because he was the guy who actually carried around the "football" and essentially lived with Bill Clinton for a couple years.


Let's just say he didn't have a high opinion of the 42nd President.
