Fat Dan's does have an excellent italian beef.
Careful the order of tater tots is huge.

Zacky's (Carmel) has a good italian beef too.

I went to Zacky's over the weekend due to your post. That was a good sammich. I'll have to go back to try their other stuff. The place is a little hole int he wall with about 10 tables in it; the service was fast and friendly and the prices were reasonable. Good little restaurant.

I tried to go back into cannoli queen today but I got there too late.. They were closed. I was so depressed. I have been after another sandwich since I had the last one.

Looks like Al's to me. If your canolli queen sammich didn't look like that I am wondering on the authenticity of said sammich. :)

Another Big Al's this time with the hot peppers. Don't know what I was thinking ordering mild last time around. I think Portillo's was better.
