What we can discuss on the matter is that the world is full of people who will approach their given religious text the same way I wrote research papers in college--make my mind up what I had to say and then go collect some corroborating sources. I scored quite a few A's this way, and others have swayed quite a number of followers this way. Unfortunately, it is NOT a way to learn anything or a way address truth, at least in the case of religion.
