Doesn't do a lot of good when the smoker's temps have dropped to 125*.

Read about the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker quite a bit before I bought it and it was supposed to be the cat's meow. I've been disappointed with it and will be going back to a box style in the not too distant future. Holds temp well but does not put the smoke flavor into the meat like I prefer not matter how much wood I put into it.

I run the Weber grill all year long and can get better smoke out of the grill than I can out of the WSM. Just gonna have to spend a bunch of money on wood I guess, the box smokers are fuel hungry monsters.

Never used one of the Weber smokers, but you are right about getting good smoke flavor using their grills. A few chunks in the grill gets great flavor for my steaks when I am grillin
