It's such a nice feeling to see AR-15 rifle kits back on websites.

I get online over lunch and check the websites real quick every day just to see what's new and what's out there. I was really happy to see that PSA has got AR-15 rifle build kits in stock enough to get the option back up on their website. The selection isn't what it used to be but at least it's coming back here and there.

This one in particular looked nice!

And they have them in stock too. I've been eyeballing some lowers now, but never sprang because I couldn't find the kits.

Is it hard to assemble one of these then? I know diddly about the AR platform, but I've heard some people say its like adult Legos.

I have an average mechanical ability and have built a few lowers. No specialtools required.

Uppers do need a specific wrench or two.

If you can replace drum brakes on an older car, you can assemble a lower. Patience is the key.

And yes, it is nice to see things available again. We all knew they would be someday ;)

    Nice find.

I've been spotting more and more parts kits coming available too, still probably going to wait a little longer before I start getting parts though.

I'm just happy enough to see the kits back in stock at "reasonable" prices. I don't think they're going to get the prices way back down to where they were for a while yet, but it's nice to see the kits in stock and available.

I've never built an upper because that's when you get into $$ for tools that you can't really use on anything else. The AR-15 wrench is fine enough to have around, but then you need "go" & "no-go" gauges and everything else. For me I don't see that truely building an upper saves me any money. It'd be worth it for the satisfaction of having done it myself, but otherwise I but complete uppers and change handguards from there.

Here are the best videos I've seen on you tube on how to assemble a lower. It's incredibly simple to do.

I just noticed PSA was having their 10 packs of D&H 30rd mags with magpul followers on sale again for $90. Such a happy day, but I don't need any more mags so I'm just going to share it here.

They're not quite reasonable yet, but who knows if they ever will be again.

It is quite a change from about December though.

The same shop that literally had bare shelves now has boxes of .223 (at outrageous prices) a dozen or so ARs, and even has lowers and grips in stock!

I'm not quite willing to pry open my wallet just yet for parts at these prices, but it's a good sign.

I'm thinking the prices are somwhat reasonable because you could build a whole rifle within $100 of what you used to be able to compared to 3 times the price of what we used to be able to.
