James Arness dead at 88

Mine too! Still watch the reruns on The Western Channel.

No body could outdraw him and when ever he did get shot, i think it was always in the left shoulder. I think he caught one in the lower back once tho.

There will never be another one like Mr. James Arness. Hero in real life and on TV. He did his job at the studio and lived quietly after that. No running his mouth, insulting every body. No getting drunk, stoned, and arrested. Just a great American that ,as boys, we wanted to be like when we grow up. I have a sudden urge to buy a 7.5" barrel 45 Colt with stag stocks. Rest in Peace Mr. Arness. Long live Marshal Dillon!
