    No body could outdraw him and when ever he did get shot, i think it was always in the left shoulder. I think he caught one in the lower back once tho.

    He was a purple heart recipient and won the Bronze star in WWII God Bless him! The world is a bit worse off with his passing!!

    We used to watch Gunsmoke religiously - for years! (Until it was taken off)

    There will never be another one like Mr. James Arness. Hero in real life :patriot:and on TV. He did his job at the studio and lived quietly after that. No running his mouth, insulting every body. No getting drunk, stoned, and arrested. Just a great American that ,as boys, we wanted to be like when we grow up. I have a sudden urge to buy a 7.5" barrel 45 Colt with stag stocks. Rest in Peace Mr. Arness. Long live Marshal Dillon!
