TCM is showing movies all day long for a particular star each day in August. Today is James (he hated being called Jimmy) Stewart day.
One of my hobbies is Classic Films. If it was made between 1906 and 1967, and was any good at all, I probably have it.
There are a few of Stewart's best films offered today, and several that would probably not make anyone's list of his best work. Two that are excellent, and not shown that often, are available today.
The first is The Naked Spur (1953) on at 6:15 pm and the second is Anatomy of a Murder (1959) at midnight. Everyone should see both of these films at least once. Many believe AoaM to be Stewart's best work.
