This old Buckeye got a Jeff White knife for Christmas. I haven't done anything except admire it. Since he is a Hoosier, some of you may know him. What can you tell me about the man and his work?

I have seen several of his knifes at shows. They all look well made and at some point I see myself getting one.

Never knew he was in Indiana. I have the Nessmuk it’s an awesome knife with good heat treat, especially for the relatively cheap price he charges.

I have a few of his knives. I had seen them before and ran into him up at the Lebanon gun show several years ago. The show was small and slow and I ended up talking to him for at least a couple hours. Very nice guy and honest and open about his craft. I ended up buying three of his knives that day. I made sheathes for two of them, used one as a daily carry work knife, shipped the other sheathed one to a buddy in MO and the thirds resides in my kitchen drawer and is used very often. They are great camp/field/kitchen knives. Simple, easy to use, feel good in the hands and take a good edge.
I’m not a fan of the super thick ‘bushcrafting’ style of knife. Yes, you can pound them into a tree and let a fat girl dance on one or pry boulders apart, but they are so thick, you can’t slice and apple with them or cut up an onion. But that just me. Anyways, for the money they are great knives and I feel the need to grab a couple more before he stops making them…

I have a JW Bush 3 and wanted a thicker type of knife. Like it

Maybe just a bit bigger than what my fave is for cleaning deer, and handle a little more straight than preferred.

But its close enough and zips through em like crazy.

Used to shoot bows w Jeff way back. We both had 80 plus pound PSE Mach 4s LOL

Have the Bush 3. Its done a few deer.
Left it in sheath and got a couple light spots on polished blade edge.
So a few swipes on the strop got it shiny new.... and then I put on Renaissance wax.
Maybe bloody the Behring this weekend.

Cuz did part of his deer w my JW as its bigger, zipped through ribs better.
