    From my understanding of the incident, the group responsible was doing it to mess with Sony, not mass identity theft. Supposedly they're done screwing with the PS network as well since there was such a consumer backlash.

    Anonymous (the cracker group) has officially disavowed knowledge of the incident. They claim it wasn't them.
